Wool Paintings

Thank you for your interest in my textile work. My love of wool is in it's versatility and its sustainability. I love the way It can be sculpted with needles and molded with nothing but water, heat and agitation. Felt is the oldest known non woven textile, it's use goes back centuries. Wool is warm, insulating, breathable and natural. Felt textiles are strong and will last a life time with the proper care. I've recently been hooked on nuno felting.  ‘Nuno’ is Japanese for ‘cloth’ and involves combining wool with a fabric in order to make a very lightweight textile. I love useing chiffon silk and high grade merino wools along with mulberry silks, tussah silks and rose fibre. The results are equisite.
